OUR STORY
Established by Christian Quakers in 1679 alongside the Lenape Natives who eventually migrated West, one of the first settlements and temporary Capitals of the United States would be known as Trenton. Quakers were an integral part of the Underground Railroad and therefore made a significant impact on many Northern state's cities such as Trenton, NJ.
By 1919 the Quaker settlement, Trent-Towne would serve as the original name of the state of New Jersey's capital city. Inevitably known for its determined, industrious, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Today Trent-Towne Marketplace brings this atmosphere along with a quality level of service to our community and constituents. Founded by Tyrell Smith, Trent-Towne establishes relationships with area vendors to support economic growth through our Farmer's Market and Sustainable Kitchen.
